Recording an Interview Without Building a Studio

A local organization wanted to record a series of interviews. They wanted the videos to look and sound professional, but buying cameras, microphones, tripods, and lighting for one project didn't make much sense.

So instead of building a studio, they rented one.

A simple setup from AV Mankato can combine a Canon camera, tripod, two-person DJI wireless microphone system, and LED video lighting into one portable recording package.

The camera handles the picture. The wireless microphones allow two people to speak naturally without sitting behind microphones on stands. The lighting helps create a consistent image even when the available room lighting isn't ideal.

Everything can fit into a setup that travels to an office, conference room, church, school, or other location.

And if the project becomes more ambitious, another Canon camera, additional lighting, or a camera operator can be added.

You don't necessarily need a studio to create good video. Sometimes you just need the right equipment for a day or weekend.
